Paper Documents to Navigable and Searchable Digital Archives. |

Step 1. Like
using Xerox machine, volumes of paper documents can be scanned with ADF (Automatic
Document Feeder) scanner or digital copier. Step
2. Using AWB Paper2CD software, hundreds of scanned documents can be
automatically divided into chapters and sections and saved in Visual Books. The documents
are stored in industry standard format like TIFF, JPG or PDF, and can be sent for email,
fax and "copy" to computer file system. |

Step 3.
In the unit of single Book or Library scale, Visual Books can be directly burned on CD-ROM
with user friendly interface. Typically, One CD can store about 10000 to 20000 images.
The document contents can be easily navigated with IE online or offline. With
easily created web meta data, keywords, indexing titles, document names, documents can be
searched effectively. |
